As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, we took part in a series of lectures “Business Entrepreneurship” organized by Dr. Bartłomiej Twarowski at the Faculty of Economics of Maria Curie-Sklodowska University.
On 20 November 2019, the co-founder of our company, Marek Golan, gave an inspiring lecture “Your start in business”, where he raised the issue of running a business from the person who created the first commercial website at the age of 22.
In the lecture, the co-founder of Akanza presented his point of view on the benefits and threats waiting for a beginner and already experienced entrepreneurs in the labour market, both from stakeholders and various institutions.
Based on our company’s long-standing path, the students could take a close look at the conditions related to setting up and running a business. The Akanza company has a number of challenges to its credit, the effects of which we can still observe today in the form of running systems and applications.
Those present at the lecture also heard about the process of creating Promodetector mobile application based on the use of beacons, which assign digital information to physical objects. Thanks to the success of the application used in one of E.Leclerc’s Warsaw stores, we have become an expert in this field. What is more, we were inspired to create a large analytical system based on the above-mentioned beacons, which won the NLAB competition. The win allowed us to present the system in Nevada to entrepreneurs from the United States.
The main value given to the participants by the President of Akanza is to show that the most important thing is a business born of passion, then finding a niche in the market and gradually striving to implement the plan.
